The Basics Of The Cat Genie 120
Washable granules line the bottom of the Cat Genie 120. When the cat urinates, the liquid drains away from the granules so that only the waste gets flushed. For solid waste, the GenieHand jumps into action by scooping it out, where it is then turned to liquid for easy removal. Fresh water then fills the basin at which time, the GenieHand scours the box and the granules clean. The SaniSolution (which is completely cat safe) then decontaminates the entire space and the waste (and soapy water) are then drained or flushed away. When the cleaning is done, a hot air blower then takes over and dries the entire box. Of course, the Cat Genie 120 requires and electric and water supply to work it’s magic. The cleaning process can be set by timer, or pet owners can train their cats to activate it. While the granules (litter) will never need replacing, the 120 SaniSolution cartridge will need to be replaced after 120 washings; 240 washing when the device is set to sensor (because it cleans more frequently but uses less detergent in this mode.) Keep in mind that this cartridge is small and completely recyclable and uses less plastic than the cap on a plastic soda bottle.
